It's her first real job, saving the world from evil and all.
She likes to think that she's doing pretty good. So far, she hasn't killed anybody, even if she has broken Adam's heart into a million pieces about as many times.
Plus, she gets to leave the house, do exciting things. Last year, she stayed inside and angsted, especially about moving away. She figured it was her prerogative, but now God's got her out and about, exploring Arcadia's nooks and crannies.
Joan thinks about all the walking she's done for God. Maybe this summer she'll get a two-piece suit.
