Stars
She's a crimson whirlwind of insane laugher. The stars whisper all kinds of naughty things as she dances, crowning her Princess of Darkness and Roses. Her bare feet seem to barely touch the floor and the dead bodies on her path. Their blood hums in her veins, joining the choir of tiny lights above her.
Grandmummy remains silent, arms crossed over her chest, just watching. Why so silent? Why won't you let me see into your heart, my child? Why do you keep secrets for me?
Drusilla whispers at the starts, hoping they have an answer. They sing sweetly and whisper how pretty Dru is, but when it comes to Darla, they're silent. They can't read the blonde vampiress either.
Maybe she just needs some time to wash away all that recent humanity. Come, Grandmother, play with me? Am I not pretty enough for you? Come and play while the stars sing to us; let's find more warm skin and beating hearts, and then we'll eat them. Yummy.
Dru sights and twirls, talking to herself, Darla and the stars all at once. She wants them all to join in the celebration. Grandmother has now become a daughter, Drusilla's daughter. Born near the starts to raise chaos and destruction. Poor Babe, so old and yet so new to the world. Don't be afraid, my Darling. Once you start moving you can forget evil Daddy doesn't want to play anymore.
But you won't forget. Oh, you won't... He's part of you now and always. Your blood screams his name even when your lips are sealed. You want him to do the same for you. And he will, the Angel-Beast is just below the surface, growling and clawing and waiting to break free. To rip that soul to shreds and join us in a never ending Dance of Death. Angel knows, and he's afraid. Because he knows we're right, and he can't fight his true nature for long.
Like Daddy would say, it's all about patience...
Drusilla watches as dark green eyes close and lips barely part in silent meditation. Drusilla makes her way around the bodies, bravery taking over her and she approaches Darla, arms and lips open in silent, tempting invitation. It's been so long, isn't it, my Babe? When was the last time immortal flesh was offered to you this way? You know you want it...
Oh, she does know. The moment cool hands reach forward, tangling in soft raven locks, Dru is triumphant. For Darla shows her need is the way their lips meet and their bodies move closer together, bathed in white moonlight.
And the stars howl Drusilla's song as they women of darkness kiss and embrace.
Finally Darla breaks the kiss and throws her head back, insane laughter filling the night. This is her new home. Her insane grand-childe/sire and her boy trapped under a pathetic soul. But she's not the Master's childe for nothing. It's up to her to turn things around. She will take the ashes and make the darkness whole again. And Dru will be there to help her. Strangely, that thought doesn't disturb Darla at all. In the end, Dru wants the same things. And once Angelus is on their side...
Maybe all those years in hell did something to her mind after all.
"Come," she says holding Dru's hand between hers. "Let's start the games."
And the stars sing to their wicked girls.
