It Never Lasts

When she shot Fred and became the newest sensation, she knew it'd never last.

When she threw Velma down the stairs and gave her career that shot in the arm, she knew it still wouldn't last.

When she met up with the boy who was more bleached than her, more sparkle and shine and vicious delicious, she shot him too, once, twice, right in the chest, laughing as she did so, 'cause Billy Flynn was available with that "black-out" defense ready and waiting.

When he brushed off the bullets and laughed, she knew it never lasts 'cause it was over.
