Don't Tell
by FemVamp

Cordelia Chase walked into the dimly lit room and saw what she was looking for. She sat down in front of a clear plexy-glass window and picked up a phone reciever and then stared at the dark haired woman on the other side. Niether othe me spoke for what felt like an eternity.

"I'm sorry." The dark haired woman said finally.

"That you used me to get back at Angel?"

"And all the other stuff too."

"Damn it, Faith." Cordelia frowned, "I came here to tell you I hated you and you tell me you're sorry."

"Sorry."

Cordelia smiled, "Damn you."

Faith smiled back, "You say the nicest things, C."

"Why didn't you come to me when you woke up?"

Faith frowned, "Why would I? "

"Because...."

"Because what, C?" Faith began, "What would you have done? Taken me in? Forgiven me? You were just like everyone else. You never....."

"Never what, Faith?"

"You never....wanted me around."

"Faith."

"What?"

"Nothing."

"That's what I thought, C." Faith paused, "No big though, I know I'm not worth shit. I can deal. I know I'm not good enough for Queen C, never was, never will be. Can deal too."

"That's not what I meant."

"Then what did you mean?" When Cordelia didn't answer, Faith continued, "It was your idea remember, "Don't tell anyone."

"I'm sorry."

"Hey no big. I enjoyed it just as much as you did. But we weren't exactly friends."

"Yes we are."

"Are?"

"Yes are." Cordelia found something interesting on the floor. "I missed you."

"I missed you too, C."

"When you get out...."

"Yeah?"

"Give me a call."

Faith smiled. "I might just do that."

"And Faith..."

"Yeah."

"You can tell whoever you want."
